Nicholas Provenzano, aka "The Nerdy Teacher", will be our Maker Week keynote speaker at Main Library on the evening of Wednesday, May 3rd. The event is FREE and open to the public.
Save the date! The Toledo Lucas County Public Library and their Full STEAM Ahead! Maker Week partners have lots of great programs being offered throughout our Library system during the week of May 1 - 7, but we wanted to send an invite to our special keynote speaker event for Maker Week.
Nicholas Provenzano, aka "The Nerdy Teacher", who will be our keynote speaker at Main Library on the evening of Wednesday, May 3rd. The event is open to the public and we look forward to having area makers, DIYers, students, and STEM/STEAM educators and leaders attend. A reception with light refreshments will precede the presentation in the Library's new Creativity Lab. A book sale and signing will follow the presentation.

Speaker Bio:
Nicholas Provenzano is a high school English teacher, author, speaker and consultant. He has been featured on CNN.com, Education Week, The New York Times, and other media outlets. In 2013, he was awarded the Technology Teacher of the Year by MACUL and ISTE. Nicholas is also a Google Certified Innovator, Raspberry Pi Certified Educator, and a TEDEd Innovative Educator. His new book, Your Starter Guide to Makerspaces, can be found on Amazon.com. Nicholas is tweeting plenty of nerdy ideas on Twitter at @TheNerdyTeacher.
