Before your 3D model can be printed it needs to be “Sliced” for the printer. In this session we will look at the Prusa Slicer software and all the tools it provides for preparing 3D models.
When the library's Making department receives 3D print requests they process them with this software and you can follow along with the steps it takes to print these items. Prusa Slicer is a free software available to download from the manufacture. Like other companies slicing software, this has been modeled off “Slic3r” and depending on the type of 3D printer you intend to use, there are features that are now universal. We will explore how different minor changes can create big differences in results.
