ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Meggie Ramm (they/them) is a non-binary cartoonist and comic educator. They graduated from California College of the Arts with an MFA in Comics in 2017. They’ve done work for the New Yorker and Silver Sprocket, and have comics in the Advanced Death Saves and Votes 4 Women anthologies. Their anti-anxiety pocketbook You Will Be Okay was published through Silver Sprocket in 2019. They taught comics to kids in the East Bay for five years while creating Littlest Dungeon Guard comic strips for Sunday HaHa. In 2024, they were invited to be a special guest at San Diego Comic Con and gave a spotlight panel on Teaching Kids Comics.
Meggie will be in conversation with Amanda McGuire Rzicznek, Teaching Professor at Bowling Green State University. Amanda teaches courses on graphic novels and youth literature and has comics in This Quarantine Life: A COVID-19 Era Comics Anthology and Change! A Hometown Heroes Anthology.
Sensory Considerations: This program will use artificial lighting. All speakers will use microphones.
Accessibility Details: Located on the first floor, accessed by elevator and/or stairs. All doors will be propped open before the program starts. Tile or low pile carpet throughout the building. Limited free parking is available in the attached garage.
