Are you interested in learning more about the U.S. immigration system? Attend a panel discussion for a comprehensive overview by local experts followed by an audience Q&A session.

Are you interested in learning more about the U.S. immigration system? Have your questions answered by area experts and receive a comprehensive overview of the U.S. immigration system — from a look at the pathways to a green card and U.S. citizenship, how our immigration court and detention and deportation systems work, to understanding common legal challenges faced by immigrants. Leave with an overall understanding of the immigration system.

Meet the panelists and join the conversation on current topics in immigration with: Eugenio Mollo Jr., Clinical Assistant Professor of Law and Director of the Immigrant Justice Clinic at the University of Toledo College of Law; Dr. Kefa Otiso, Professor of Geography at Bowling Green State University and founding member of the New African Immigrant Commission of Ohio; Mechelle Zarou, Chief People and Culture Officer and Deputy General Counsel at the Sisters of St. Francis. This event will be moderated by Janelle Metzger, Executive Director at Water for Ishmael.

This event, in celebration of Immigrant Heritage Month, is brought to you in partnership with Welcome Toledo Lucas County (TLC), Welcome Bowling Green (BG), and the Multifaith Council of Northwest Ohio.
