Creativity Lab (Children's Library), 2nd Floor

Enjoy this original musical play with the script adapted and loosely based on the book by award-winning author Mildred D. Taylor, a 1961 graduate of Scott High School.

We are celebrating Mildred Taylor's 81st birthday! Enjoy this one woman show written and performed by Dianne E'Laine, who single handedly delves into the characters of the book utilizing life-size original portraitures (also rendered by Dianne), against a backdrop of a replica of an authentic gold Cadillac permanently housed in Children's Library. Dianne also wrote and produced Art Tatum: The Musical and an album for the 2024 Jeep Fest, Songs in the Key of Jeep.
