ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Michael John Neill earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois. He began genealogical research in the early 1980s, studying both his and his children’s families and has published books and lectured nationally on the topic since the late 1980s. His interests include methodology, land records, the immigrant experience, and reaching female ancestors, and is known for hosting annual trips to the Family History Library in Salt Lake City and the Allen County Public Library in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
