ABOUT THE BOOK

Hugo Award-nominated novelist Saladin Ahmed (Black Bolt) and artist Sami Kivelä (Beautiful Canvas) present one woman's search for the truth that destroyed her family. Hard-nosed, chain-smoking tabloid reporter Elena Abbott investigates a series of grisly crimes that the police have ignored. Crimes she knows to be the work of dark occult forces. Forces that took her husband from her. Forces she has sworn to destroy.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Saladin Ahmed was born in Detroit and raised in a working-class, Arab American enclave in Dearborn, MI. His short stories have been nominated for the Nebula and Campbell awards and have appeared in Year's Best Fantasy and numerous other magazines, anthologies, and podcasts, as well as being translated into five foreign languages. Ahmed's THRONE OF THE CRESCENT MOON was nominated for the Hugo and Nebula awards and won the Locus Award for Best First Novel. His first comic, BLACK BOLT, won the Will Eisner award for Best New Series in 2018, and his original horror comic ABBOTT was nominated for a Bram Stoker Award and was a Michigan Notable Book. For Marvel Comics, he has written MILES MORALES: SPIDER-MAN, THE MAGNIFICENT MS. MARVEL, and DAREDEVIL. He has been writing WOLVERINE since 2024, and the first issue of his newest book, ALIEN: KING KILLER, will be released in April 2026.
