Embrace your artistic skills during this step-by-step guided class. No experience is necessary to create a beautiful, one-of-a-kind work of art.
This program is inclusive to all adults and teens but will be modified for those with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and their support person(s).
All supplies will be provided, including adaptive art supplies such as grips for paintbrushes and adaptive scissors.
Please call Public Services at 419-259-5293 to request an accommodation at least two weeks prior to the program date.
Support persons should also register as attendees if they intend to participate unless otherwise noted.
Sensory Considerations: A mix of artificial and natural lights will be in the space; various textures and scents may be present during the process and could become messy. Attendees are encouraged to participate in whichever way they find comfortable. Moderate outdoor lighting with potential harsh glares, digital screens may be in use, high potential for ambient sounds, music possible, chemical smells possible due to art supplies, possible skin contact with various textured items/materials due to art supplies, carpeted floors.
Accessibility Details: Wide sliding door entry, high potential for ambient noise, low pile carpeted floors throughout, light food & drink is allowed in room, located close to men’s and women’s restrooms with an accessible stall in each, there is no automatic push button entry on restroom door, no family restroom.
As per Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) Rule 173-39-02.1, we request a minimum of one support staff person to six individuals.
