Explore life as a pioneer in the 1800's. Inspect original 1800's artifacts to guess what they were used for and then play fun interactive pioneer games.

This program is inclusive to all adults and teens but will be modified for those with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and their support person(s).

Support persons should also register as attendees if they intend to participate unless otherwise noted.

Please call Public Services at 419-259-5293 to request an accommodation at least two weeks prior to the program date.

Sensory Considerations: A mix of artificial and natural lights will be in the space; varying tactile opportunities; fine and gross motor movement opportunities; chemical smells possible due to art supplies; potential for mess is low; potential for ambient sounds is moderate; interactive learning and hands-on education are included in this program and attendees are encouraged to participate in whichever way they find comfortable. 

Accessibility Details: Located on first floor, no stairs required, automatic doors, low pile carpet.

As per Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) Rule 173-39-02.1, we request a minimum of one support staff person to six individuals.
