2026 marks 50 years of Black History Month at TLCPL and 100 years since the establishment of Black History Month. From BAM to SLAM, please come celebrate with us all month long!
Please join members of the Library’s African American Appreciation Coalition in celebrating Black History Month by highlighting local Black and African American poets, with a space to meet, network, and share their talents. The event will feature light snacks, music, networking, a brief panel discussion, and prizes! Registration is suggested but not required.
Please contact Adira Fuller-Warren by phone at 419.259.5240 if you or someone you know would like to participate in a short panel or be a featured poet. Whether it’s rhymed or free verse, epic, lyric, or dramatic poetry, all are welcome! Please be mindful that lyrics should be appropriate for all ages.
