Blacksmithing Demonstration with Carolyn

Blacksmith Carolyn Powers will use a traveling forge and anvil to demonstrate basic forging techniques, explain the type of coal used, and how she produces the coke used to forge.

Carolyn is a volunteer at the Ludwig Mill at Providence Metropark. Participants can simulate the experience of forging using clay and wooden hammers.
