Meeting Room A (Capacity : 35)Step 1 of 3D printing is "slicing” the model. We will look at the Prusa Slicer and the PreForm Slicer programs and all the factors that go into determining what is necessary to print at the library.
Before your 3D model can be printed it needs to be “sliced” and prepared for the specific printer. When the Making department receives 3D print requests, they process them with this software and you can follow along with the steps it takes to prepare these items. Both the Prusa Slicer and PreForm are free softwares available to download from the manufacture. We will explore how different minor changes can create big differences in results.
