Infant and Child Safety:

for Grandparents and Caregivers

Learn more about SIDS prevention and car seat laws. A drawing for a free Pack N' Play safety kit will be held for those who complete the class. Presented by the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department.

SIDS/SUID is the leading cause of death for infants ages 1 month -1 year of age. Learn the risk factors associated with SIDS and other sleep related deaths and injuries, risk reduction methods, and the risks associated with devices such as car seats and swings.

Melissa Hallenbeck, who is a registered Child Passenger Safety Technician and Health Educator, will be hosting a brief review of the laws under the Ohio Revised Code and completing a Car Seat Q & A session.
