Pottinger Professor of History at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. Author of Woman Suffrage and Citizenship in the Midwest, 1870-1920, her research explores how the rural Midwest, with its complex political climate and diversity of ethnic groups, shaped the woman suffrage movement in profound ways.
