This overview introduces the common language, understanding, and tools to address poverty through leadership in professional and community settings to improve customer service and teamwork.
Bridges Out of Poverty provides the common language, understanding, and tools to address poverty through leadership in professional and community settings to improve customer service and teamwork. Participants increase awareness of how economic class impacts life experience, resources, and stability and how that translates to leading teams. We hope that participants are inspired to attend a full-day Bridges Out of Poverty training. The book Bridges Out Of Poverty: Strategies for Professionals and Communities is a collaboration between Ruby K. Payne, Philip DeVol, and Terie Dreussi Smith.
This event is made available through Lucas County Family Council - Getting Ahead / Bridges Out of Poverty Initiative, Lucas County Job and Family Services, and the Lucas County Commissioners and is part of Better Toledo, a personal and professional development series to ensure “you will do better in Toledo." Certificates of completion are available to participants who take part in three or more sessions in 2023. For group registrations please call 419-259-5293.
