Artist Liz Hayes will guide you through making a hard back travel journal, introducing techniques for your pages such as hand sewing, gluing, medium techniques, stamping, collage, and image transfer.
Create your own 6” x 9 “ hard back artist journal using a simple yet sturdy book binding technique. The paper pages will be heavy enough to explore a variety of wet and dry mediums. Not only can these travel journals be used to document an adventure or vacation, they allow you to experiment with new mediums and may even encourage a journaling habit your daily life.
In the weeks following class, spend time further exploring mediums and techniques learned to fill the pages with layers and meaning. Add text, photos, or personal flat keep sakes to bring your memories alive.
