Step aboard TLCPL's Bookmobile to browse the collection, check out materials, and sign up for a library card.
Visitors can explore a diverse collection of materials, including books, DVDs, CDs, a juvenile selection, and large‑print titles. Librarians will be on hand to assist with library card sign-up and book recommendations. Check out items, or place holds for materials to be delivered at the next visit. Borrowed items may be returned on the Bookmobile or at any Toledo‑Lucas County Public Library branch.

Platform wheelchair lift provides entry to the vehicle
Patron Entrance: Standard entrance door measuring 32" x 80"; Lowered stairwell with two steps, both equipped with non-slip treads; One retractable exterior step for easier boarding
Interior Navigation: Aisle width is 40 inches at its narrowest point (between wheel wells), allowing for easier maneuverability
Handrails & Support: Vertical and horizontal handrails located at the patron entrance (both interior and exterior)
Handrails on each side of the stairwell for added stability and safety
Sensory Considerations:
Sound: The engine may be audible when running; however, the vehicle often operates in a hybrid mode, allowing the engine to be off at times. Outdoor environmental noise may be noticeable, including traffic, weather, and nearby community activities.
Lighting: Overhead interior vehicle lighting is present throughout the space; Natural light enters through windows and ceiling panels; Brightness may increase due to sunlight and exterior glare, depending on time of day and weather.
Space & Movement: The interior space is compact and may feel crowded during busy periods; Vehicle may gently shift or move when people enter, exit, or walk inside; Slight movement may also occur due to wind or weather conditions
Temperature: Interior temperature may vary depending on weather conditions and HVAC system performance
