Toledo Library Genealogy and Local History Fair

Living in NW Ohio, the Natives of the Maumee Valley relied on the land's resources for survival. Learn about trading, clothing and other aspects of daily life and culture of the 1790s Maumee Valley.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Patrick Bronson has been with the Toledo Metroparks for 11 years and leads various history and ecology programs. He rediscovered his passion for such topics when he learned about and subsequently began teaching the history of Fallen Timbers. Since joining the Metroparks, Patrick has had the opportunity to research the Beaver Wars, indigenous history, and even dabbled in trying to learn the Anishinaabewomin language. 

Sensory Considerations: This program will use artificial lighting.  All speakers will use microphones.

Accessibility Details: Located on the first floor, accessed by elevator and/or stairs. All doors will feature an automatic function or be propped open prior to program start. Tile or low pile carpet throughout the building. Limited free parking is available in the attached garage.
