Form is everywhere in poetry and can force us to make poems we didn’t know were in us. We’ll play with two traditional forms, the villanelle and the pantoum. Presented by Owens Community College.
It’s easy to dismiss writing, say, a sonnet, or a haiku, as old-fashioned and limiting. But form is everywhere in poetry and using form can force us to make poems we didn’t know were in us. We’ll play with two traditional forms, the villanelle and the pantoum. Sessions will include time for both discussion and writing.
