Human Library
Saturday, April 09
1:00pm - 3:00pm
Main Library
Atrium, CafeA Human Library is where "books" are real people that "readers" check out to discuss shared experiences, differing perspectives, challenge bias, stereotype and prejudice through personal conversation.
The Human Library™ is, in the true sense of the word, a library of people. It is a place where difficult questions are expected, appreciated, and answered. It is a global initiative and hands-on learning platform designed to build a positive framework for conversations that can challenge stereotypes and prejudices through dialogue. The City of Toledo Human Relations Commission, Metroparks Toledo, Owens Community College and Toledo Lucas County Public Library invite the entire community to check out the Human Library.
