This event celebrates the release of Dudar’s new book, Carryout, which follows an Arab American family’s life in a Toledo corner store across generations.

Join us for Hometown Stories: A Conversation with Toledo Native Hasan Dudar. This event celebrates the release of Dudar’s new book, Carryout, which follows an Arab American family’s life in a Toledo corner store across generations. The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Gaby Semaan, Director of Middle East Studies at the University of Toledo, an expert on Arab American cultural identity. There will be a meet and greet with light refreshments from 6:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

This event is brought to you in partnership with the Islamic Foodbank of Toledo, NAMI Greater Toledo Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Leadership Initiative, Toledo Lucas County Public Library, the University of Toledo Department of World Languages and Culture, and Welcome Toledo-Lucas County (TLC).
