A 4-piece jazz combo, Damen Cook and Friends will celebrate Black History Month by presenting an afternoon of jazz.

This special performance in honor of Black History Month features Drummer Damen Cook & Friends. Damen began his music career in Pittsburgh, playing with his father, guitarist and singer, Leon Cook (a former Toledo Jazz great). Damen has toured with Martha Reeves and the Vandellas and performed with Marvelettes, The Temptations and The Spinners and more. His style is described as “drum-focused contemporary jazz” but he performs jazz standards as well.
